Penang consists of an island and patch of mainland called Seberang Prai. Located off the north-west coast of Malaysia, a 13 km bridge connects the mainland to Penang. Those coming by car from Kuala Lumpur can take the North-South Highway to Butterworth and then ride across the Penang Bridge to get to Georgetown. On the other hand, Penang has an international airport so you can fly directly there from your country of origin depending on the airline service you use.
For those coming from Langkawi, they can take a flight from the Langkawi International Airport or ride a ferry from Kuah to the island. The last option is to use the train service which departs from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to Butterworth. At Butterworth, you can take a bus or taxi to head to the island. After passing through the bridge, you can head to the Berjaya Penang hotel which is located in the centre of Georgetown city in the 1-Stop Midlands Park.
